There’s certain things that we take for granted in our lives. The ability to have clean drinking water and electricity, I think, are the biggest two. I’m sure during a thunderstorm you’ve lost power, for a short period of time, so you know what that’s like. Could you imagine if water was scarce, or if you had a water outage? What would you do? I can’t even begin to answer that question, but for the children in Guatemala that’s a reality. I’ve never questioned if the water I’m drinking is contaminated, and I’ve never had to walk more than a few feet to find clean drinking water. That’s where IX style comes in, through the sale of the shoes at IX-style they use 100% of the profits to provide clean drinking water to children in Guatemala. To further support the cause they are hosting a new 5K on the Manayunk towpath on October 12th. Please come out and support the cause. Besides operational expenses, a large portion of the proceeds will go to support the children. It’s just one of the ways you can help out their cause.
